Troels Lund Poulsen becomes the new Minister of Defence

Troels Lund Poulsen is the new Minister of Defence and will replace the Deputy Prime Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, as he becomes Minister of Economy.

Troels Lund Poulsen has in-depth experience, as he was the constituted Minister of Defence in spring 2023. Together with the parties of the Parliament, they agreed on a historical defence agreement for 2024-2033.

- I am excited to return to the Ministry of Defence and cooperate with the defence personnel, the Danish Home Guard and the Danish Emergency Management Agency. I am looking forward to continuing the work on the defence agreement. I wish Jacob the best of luck in the Ministry of Economics and as Chairman for Venstre. I would also like to say thank you to all the employees in the Ministry of Economics for their great work during the time I have been Minister of Economics, says Troels Lund Poulsen.
