Danish Minister of Defence visits Pentagon

“The US is our most important ally, and I look very much forward to meeting with secretary Hagel. I could not think of a better way to take up the office as minister of defence than by having this meeting with my US colleague”, Wammen says.

Wammen and Hagel will discuss the close cooperation between the Danish and US armed forces post Afghanistan, as well as green defence and the arctic.

Thursday August 22. Nicolai Wammen will participate in a roundtable discussion at the Atlantic Council. The topic for the discussion is NATO post 2014.

Later Wammen will lay down a wreath at the Memorial to US. Airmen Killed in Denmark at the Arlington National Cemetery.
