• "Ms Krarup does not represent the Danish government, neither in her viewpoint nor as member of parliament
• Ms Krarup is member of the opposition, and by no means do I or any member of the Danish government share her opinion on the Maoris in New Zealand
• I had the great pleasure of visiting New Zealand in December last year. The government, the armed forces and the people of New Zealand were extremely welcoming and kind
• The relationship with New Zealand is of great importance to Denmark. We share values and have many interests in common, both being smaller nations, active on global issues"
